Paragliding Courses

Courses are booked in advance and run every weekend subject to the weather. Midweek courses are run Wednesday, Thursday and Friday, again subject to weather.

Fun Day £60

An Introduction to the exhilarating sport of paragliding. Basic theory, equipment familiarisation, parachute landing rolls and practise take off and landings are all covered. Depending on your progress, you should experience the thrill of flight by the end of the day.

Two day course £120

Day one covers the same ground as the Fun Day, introducing the basic knowledge and skills essential to your safety. Day two puts it into practise as you gain experience of short flights, with the emphasis on good take off and landing.

Elementary Pilot course £240

A minimum of four days, or however long it takes to complete the tasks for your Elementary Pilot rating. The first two days are as described above, with days 3 and 4 progressing to higher flights, stable turns and accurate landings. More theory prepares you to sit the written exam at the end of the course.

Club Pilot course £240

The Cub Pilot rating is the goal of most new pilots as it allows you to fly outside the school environment, giving the freedom to fly at hundreds of sites throughout the country and abroad. You will fly higher, land on top of the hill and on the slope and learn to soar. Once again, more theory prepares you for the Club Pilot exam at the end of the course.
