ParaglidingThe simplest way to flyParagliding is the simplest form of flight, the nearest thing to mans oldest dream... to fly as free as a bird. Common misconceptions are that you are pulled behind a boat, or that you have to jump off a cliff. In fact the paraglider is inflated and stabilised above your head before you run down a gentle hillside to launch into the dynamic lift of the wind and then rise in thermal air currents. With experience you can fly cross country, landing many miles away. The equipment packs into a rucksack and can be carried to any suitable hill, after your training it takes only a few minutes to set up and take off to soar with the birds. Sharing the air with an eagle for the first time is an experience you will never forget. Paragliding can be enjoyed all year round, but like most sports, we rely on the weather. No rain and light winds below 20mph make for an ideal days flying. |
